Goalie Clinics

Now registering!

The Pond has teamed up with four outstanding goalie coaches to provide training to local goalies.

Cap Raeder is now offering two Monday programs - one in the afternoon and one in the evening. His summer camp dates have also been announced. Cap is a former coach for the Los Angeles Kings (7 years), the Boston Bruins (2 years) and is currently with the San Jose Sharks.

Ed Kesell is the goalie coach at Babson college and the former goalie coach at Northeaster University. He is currently the Director of MASTP 11, 12, & 13 YOB and is also the Director of Hockey Skills Acceleration.

Jeff Cohen, a former Boston College goalie, is currently the goalie coach at Miilton Academy and is also a goalie coach for MASTP.

JP McKersie, the former starting goalie for Boston University, was the Head Goalie Coach for both the Boston College and Milton Academy Women's teams from 2001 - 2003. He played professionally in the East Coast Hockey League and was a Hobey Baker finalist in 1994. Winner of the Humanitarian Award in 1996, JP is currently the Director of Goaltending at Norfolk Ice Arena and Puckmasters.

Ed Kesell and Jeff Cohen of Hockey Skills Acceleration are offering a 4-day clinic at The Pond in August. Please note: This program is not for beginners and will be limited to 9 goalies.

August 25 through August 28
Monday through Thursday - 10:50 am - 1:00 pm
The clinic will be broken down as follows:

10:50 am - 11:10 am - Pre-ice warmup
11:30 am - 12:30 pm - On-ice
12:40 pm - 1:00 pm - Video review

$360 for 4 days

Cap Raeder is once again offering week-long goalie clinics over Summer vacation. These clinics will run Monday through Friday and offer two different time slots. Class size will be limited to 4 goalies so sign up now!

Summer Vacation Clinics - Mornings
July 28 through Aug. 1
Aug. 11 through Aug. 15
Monday through Friday - 9:30-10:45 or
Monday through Friday - 11-12:15

Summer Vacation Clinics - Afternoons
Aug. 18 through Aug. 22
Monday through Friday - 3:45-5

Aug. 25 through Aug. 29
Monday through Friday - 3:45-5 or
Monday through Friday - 5:15-6:30

$425 for 5 days - limited to 4 goalies
