Learn to Skate
The Pond is proud to offer Learn to Skate programs for skaters who are at least 4 years old. These classes offer personal and professional instruction for a full 50 minutes on the ice.
The following will help you prepare for the class:
- We do not offer skate rentals.
- Helmets are required for all classes. We recommend a hockey helmet with a cage. This type of helmet will fully protect your child's head and face.
- Elbow pads and knee pads are recommended. If you choose to have your child wear knee pads please put them on underneath their clothing. Knee pads tend to be slippery on the ice making it difficult for the child to stand up after falling.
Please note: A partial refund (class fee minus a $50 processing fee) will be given for cancellations made prior to the second class. No refunds will be given after the start of the second class. Parents - if you are unsure of your child's ability to participate in a class please attend public skating prior to enrolling in a nine-week program. Management reserves the right to cancel programs due to low enrollment.
